Pipestack Chrome Extension · Effective April 13, 2026

1. Introduction

Pipestack (“we,” “us,” or “our”) builds tools that help sales professionals manage and grow their pipeline. This Privacy Policy explains what data the Pipestack Chrome Extension collects, why it collects it, and how it is handled — so you can make an informed decision about using the extension.

2. What We Collect

Account credentials & workspace settings

The extension stores your Pipestack API key and workspace configuration locally using Chrome's storage.local API. This is used exclusively to authenticate your session and route data to the correct CRM workspace. It is never shared with third parties.

Lead data

When you click the Import button on a supported social media profile, the extension captures publicly visible information from that page — typically the person's name, profile URL, and profile ID. No data is captured passively or without your explicit action.

Anonymous usage data

We may collect basic technical metadata (e.g., extension version, browser version) to identify bugs and improve reliability. This data cannot be used to identify you individually.

3. How We Use Your Data

Collected information is used solely to:

  • Sync lead data from your browser to your private Pipestack dashboard.
  • Authenticate your access and keep you connected to the right workspace.
  • Provide customer support and improve the extension's functionality.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your data to any third party.

4. Storage & Security

In transit

All data sent between the extension and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS.

At rest

Lead data is stored in your private Pipestack database instance, hosted on Supabase. Local settings are stored in Chrome's storage.local and are never synced to your Google account.

Retention

Lead data is retained for as long as your Pipestack account is active or until you delete it. You can permanently remove any record from your dashboard at any time.

5. Third-Party Services

The extension reads publicly visible data from social media platforms (such as Facebook/LinkedIn) when you initiate an import. This extension is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Meta, LinkedIn, or any other platform. Once data is imported into Pipestack, it is governed solely by this Privacy Policy.

6. Your Rights & Controls

  • View & edit: All imported lead data is visible and editable from your Pipestack dashboard.
  • Delete: You can remove any lead record directly from the dashboard at any time.
  • Stop collection entirely: Uninstalling the extension immediately stops all data capture. No data is collected in the background.

7. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you via the extension or email. Continued use of the extension after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

8. Contact

If you have questions or concerns about this Privacy Policy or how your data is handled, please reach out to us. We'll get back to you as soon as possible.
